The last great race..Iditarod begins March 05,2011…
You can’t compare it to any other competitive event in the world! A challenging race over 1150 miles of the roughest, most beautiful terrain Mother Nature has to offer. Mountain ranges, little light, packs of dogs all working together for thier master…it’s a thrill and all the dogs want to do is get there first. Where…Alaska off course. I get overwhelmed every time the Iditarod is on. I know that some of the dogs might be mis-treated..They work hard but over all I assume that relationships between mushers and dog are like no other. Dogs aim to please…they need to work together, equally and over all not get upset and fight with one another which some do. This year is going to be an extraordinary race…Watch it if you have some time to spare. Wouldn’t it be nice if Mammoth would provide dog beds for those dogs. It would be like a dog 5 star hotel. God only knows what they endure with cold winds that could give you frostbite in seconds.
